Following our launch event on 1 November, we’re hosting the first Unfinished Zine Club – Zines 101 on the 11th December.
The event is open to everyone – bring your unfinished zines to work on, or start a new one! We’ll have discussions on and examples of the different forms zines take as well as the different ways you can reproduce and distribute them. We’ll also have some handy prompts to help you get stuck in. You’ll also be able to browse the Zine Library collection for inspiration! We’ll have paper, pens, stencils, stamps, old magazines, scissors and glue etc for you to use but please feel free to bring your own along too.
Children are welcome but must be supervised by a parent or guardian. The event will be held in the George Washington Browne Room at the Central Library, Edinburgh. The room is downstairs from the library entrance and there is a lift. If you have any questions about accessibility please get in touch on facebook or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event is free but ticketed because of the limits of the size of the room! It’s also useful for us to know how exactly how many Sharpies we’ll need! We will keep the page updated and may be able to release a few more tickets on the day too. If you would like a ticket, please follow the link to our eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/unfinished-zine-club-1-tickets-40051642541
